Artist to Watch: Nikki Lane

Not a country fan? Allow us to convert you! Nashville-based singer/songwriter Nikki Lane is beloved by Dan Auerbach, KCRW, and Paste Magazine alike–and all for good reason.

Says Pitchfork: “Nikki Lane isn’t like many of the young, confident, defiant women of the female roots world. You get the sense she’s more of a beautiful train wreck—seesawing from one debilitating set of emotions to another, but always doing her best to translate and capture those emotions in songs to share with the rest of the world in a way that makes us both sympathize and share in those experiences, embellishing the rich textures of being alive.”

Check out this video of Nikki on KEXP with her Guild M-120 below. Learn more about the M-120 here.

i listened and I think their music is good but I feel the m-120 sounded thin aslo sounds like she’s plugged in so whatever pickup she using has the quacky sound going on that a lot of under saddle pickups get. Maybe I’m wrong though. Anyway would like a better demo of it to hear more of the guitar .
